Craziness!

Hi guys...

First of all, I'm sorry I haven't posted in like a week. It's been really busy... my dad had knee surgery, it was standardized testing week at school, I have this big party coming up that I have to make a billion preparations for, and the internet was down for most of the week so even if I wasn't so crazy busy I wouldn't have been able to post.

I'm kind of stressed!

BUt anyway, today I'm going to post an outfit from like Thursday I think... I'm not totally sure. I had on like a really fun outfit yesterday but I didn't take a picture so maybe I'll try to explain it.

Here's the outfit from Thursday:

I love wearing skirts because every one at school wears jeans like 24 7 so it's nice to stand out!

Close-up:

**I don't know why it looks like everything outside my window is blue... I guess just the light. Sorry!**

One of the reasons I'm excited to get to high school is because the one that I will probably go to (Wilson for people who know me) has a very lax dress code... Dress For Respect.

Basically you can wear whatever you want as long as you think people will respect you in it.

At the middle school I'm at right now, your skirt and your shorts have to be as long as your arms (your fingers can't go past the hem of your skirt). If they do, you're not allowed to wear it and you have to wear like your gym uniform.

It suckkkssss.

But I liked this skirt because it was long enough to even wear high waisted!

sam duckworth, the lead

hey lovelies,

well today i'm going to talk about my latest music obsession:

GET CAPE. WEAR CAPE. FLY.

first of all its  like the best name right? i love it!!!

so i stumbled across their myspace when i was looking at other peoples, etc, and i was like wow that is a vicious name!!!

then i listened to their songs, and they're like amazing! its a lot of acoustics but there are just some interesting little tidbits in there. its really cool, and anybody who likes indie music will like this.

just wanted to write a little review thing!!! thanks for reading!

jeans DIY

these are some things i want to try to give some old jeans "new meaning"

  • Patches-- basically, cover the jeans with old random patches, buttons, etc. be eclectic. look through your mothers stuff from the hippie days, or the disco days, or the 80s, depending how old your mom is. don't go too crazy with the patches or else that will look tacky. keep them spaced out. buttons (the kind with the clasp, not the sew-on kind) should be pretty small, and pinned near the pockets.
  • Paint-- this is a trick i saw on a girl at school today... she used read paint and put it on her hands, then on her jeans. i really liked how that looked. another way to work the paint (sorry i had to say that) is if you are in an area with a lot of space, you can splatter. which will look ridiculously cool.
it might take me a while to get these done, but when (or if) i do, i will post a pictureee

love love love,

Outfit! Clothes! Horton Hears A Who!

Hey people...

The time has come! I'm doing an outfit post! I'm also showing you one of my favorite shirts and me in a beret!!!! :)

I'm also going to give you my person review of Horton Hears A Who... so be excitedd!

So here's my outfit.

Tank top-- Petit Bateu (new york)
Sweater-- My dad's: Brooks Brothers
Belt: Urban Outfitters
Shorts: American Eagle

I didn't wear it to school-- the shorts are too short :(   but it was my afternoon outfit. At night its a little too chilly for the shorts, but oh well. Im really embracing spring-- I wore this outfit out with my dad out to get ice cream even though its like 50˚.

So here's my favoriteee shirt. I'm pretty much a hippie right now so this is perfect. It's so comfy and flowy and i feel like a fairy when I wear it!

I really like this.... I got it around Halloween for like $5... but I've never gotten to wear it! It makes me feel sophisticated :)

~~~~~~~~~~~~~HHAW~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Horton Hears A Who!
I saw this movie today it was so good!!!!!! My friends and I are so immature we laugh at every single little thing and we're still repeating our like favorite lines. It was a really cute movie so if you're in the mood for that kind of movie I definetly recommend it!
Thanks for readinggggggggg
Vampire Weekend, Joni Mitchell, and hippies
 I love Vampire Weekend.
Everything about them is so cool.
If you've never heard of them, they are a cool newish band. They are recent grads of Columbia. Their music is really catchy, ethnic-sounding rhythms. It's really good.
I want their album. SO bad!
If you haven't already, you should check out Vampire Weekend because they are a very cool up-and-coming band.
On to some one who is not up-and-coming... no, she's already come, but she still hasn't gone.
Joni Mitchell.
She is like my IDOL. She's an amazing singer, amazing guitar player, and she's really beautiful too.
She's great.
Joni Mitchell has made me decide to dress more like a hippie!
On monday I wore a loose, flowery top with a headband around my head.
It was great except the head band was a little tight.
im thinking of doing an outfit post, or maybe just some pictures of my favorite clothes.
so stay tuned!
p.s. did you like the joke????
