A trip into the past...

Going retro...

Here's my outfit for today. It reminded me and also my mom of old 1900s girls' athletic uniforms... strange huh but its true! (They got to wear skirts luckies...) It was nice and comfy and just right for the weather.

Shirt: (my mom's) Patagonia
Skirt: Urban Outfitters

Ignore the phone-- I was talking to my friend (Nati! Love her) and I was trying to multi-task.

Have a good Friday!

We can't go back now.

Comfy wide leg jeans. Walking under an umbrella in the sun. Yummy chips (from Chipotle) (not stale... sarah). Coming home to hear a jazz band playing in the back yard of the house across the street. The sun stayed up until 8.00 at night.

Summer's coming!

Go outside!

outfit!

Peeps,

Just a quick outfit post. Today I wore my suspenders from Commander Salamander that I got on Friday. They are really fun, especially when you like pull on them and say, "Well, bust my britches!" Who knows what that means.

I went shopping :)

Ok just a quick post to tell you what I bought yesterday when I went shopping.

  • First I went to American Eagle. It's kind of a teeny bopper (I love saying that) store but there are some things there that are great if you pick through the preppiness. I got a a shirt and a skirt, not to be worn at the same time:
This is the shirt, it's not such a great picture, but it has little flowers on it. I found it in clearance and it's actually a medium, but it'll be extra flowy that way!

Here's the skirt, again not a very good picture (darn web cam!), but it's pleated, and to make it fit you there's a little string so you can tie it just right.

I also got a sweatshirt, but it's not so interesting and fashionable I'm going to take a picture of it. It's yellow and kind of off the shoulder.

  • Anyway, after that, I went to Commander Salamander, which I've never been to. It was pretty rad but not really my style. One thing I found there that I loved were suspenders! I've wanted them for a really long time, and now I have some red ones, and Abby has yellow ones. (i got suspenders yea i got suspenders... word!)
  • And last I went to H&M which was so fun except we went there last and we couldn't buy anything because we only had like $20 left. But I managed to find a couple little things that just caught my eye, like:

This plain white shirt. It's very simple, but I like the little braidy thing at the top.

I also got this teensy little bag, which is just right for running out with only my phone and my wallet, and it's really cute too.

So that's it. It was fun!

xoxo,

Eliza

P.S. I got the new Teen Vogue this afternoon! :)

I'm back! And with many interesting thoughts...

Well I'm back from my little vacation, even though it wasn't. The reason posts were so sparse was that I had a big party on Saturday, which just took so much planning, and I was like crazy and busy and so much happened in the last week I just wasn't able to post. But here I am now, and luckily I've been thinking of all the little things I've wanted to blog about.

I'll talk about my party.

It was a lot of fun, but like the most fun (kind of) was the presents! I got a lot of good stuff. One of my favorites were these babies:

*Sorry I'm like turned away from the camera, I use the camera on my computer for like almost all my pictures and I don't like to have the reflection of the screen in the picture :)

Those were fabulous, also these:

Nice and metallic, pretty gladiators.

So those were the best presents, I got some other great stuff but I'm not going to bore you so let's move on to the other random thoughts that I'm going to post...

Inspiration-- Some things that have inspired me recently are:

  • The movie To Kill A Mockingbird. I haven't watched it yet, because my mom isn't allowing me to watch it until I finished the book, but anyway... I was looking at the little cover...

I love his glasses! They are kind of like 'nerd glasses' but they are more 'studious.'

  • Mayan clothing-- Ok it seems a little random and strange but I'm like obsessed with the clothes that the Maya indians in Guatemala wear! In Spanish we've been studying Rigoberta Menchu, who won the Nobel Peace Prize, but mostle I've been noticing the clothes! Thy are ... different, but they're really bright and colorful and happy.
Any wayyyy... sorry if it was like way too random.

Eliza

Bad bad bad

Ok I gave you an excuse for not writing before, and I'm afraid it's the same one...

well I have this big party coming up, this Saturday, which has just taken so much time and planning I've been so so so busy.

Mabye this week I'll do an outfit post...

Love,
ELiza

P.S. Did anyone else read the Uber Chic post on Agyness Deyn? She's collaborated with the band Five O' Clock Heroes in a song! She sings! Not really that great, I think modelling is more her calling, but way to expand your horizons Ag!
